ProFicient 4 to provide a real-time, centralized quality system for over 90 manufacturing facilities.
Chantilly, VA - January 11, 2010 - InfinityQS® International announced today that The Pepsi Bottling Group, Inc. (PBG) has implemented ProFicient 4, the industry leading Statistical Process Control (SPC) software, throughout its global manufacturing facilities. PBG is using InfinityQS' SPC technology to provide immediate global visibility and quality control in over 90 plants spanning the United States, Canada, Greece, Mexico, Russia, Spain, and Turkey.
ProFicient 4 is being used by PBG to create a centralized lab management system for statistical analysis and control of their global manufacturing operations. The system enables all manufacturing sites to ensure they are in compliance with PBG's strict quality standards for all phases of product manufacturing from raw materials to the finished product. By leveraging InfinityQS' Data Management System (DMS) to communicate directly with PBG's lab and manufacturing equipment, ProFicient 4 creates an efficient, integrated system to manage and control process data.
"We take great pride in the efficiency and effectiveness of our global manufacturing operations, and InfinityQS is a trusted partner in our efforts to constantly improve our results," said Tanya Peacock, corporate quality engineer at PBG. "Proficient 4 is an easy-to-use, flexible and centralized system that provides us with real-time access to performance information at all of our plants around the world. This allows us to instantly compare information, identify best practices, and quickly replicate our success on a global scale."
InfinityQS released ProFicient 4 in June to further address food manufacturers' needs for an enterprise quality system that supports HACCP, SSOP and Net Content Control compliance. Among the many new features in ProFicient 4 is the ability to incorporate workflow capabilities to individual workstations and prompt data collection in the necessary intervals with a real-time dynamic scheduler.
"PBG was looking for the smartest, most efficient way to use quality methods to streamline and strengthen the effectiveness of their global manufacturing operations," said Michael A. Lyle, president and CEO of InfinityQS. "With InfinityQS' unique database structure, PBG is able to collect and analyze data from thousands of products across their enterprise using just a few configurations, making it substantially easier for them to manage in comparison to the hundreds or thousands of configurations required by other systems. InfinityQS provides the optimal platform for meeting PBG's demanding workload and ensuring their precise quality requirements, while delivering a quick ROI."
